This is a one-person small business, all the process from the sourcing and selection of materials, design of the patterns, manufacturing and sewing, photography and editing, listing and selling items, social media and marketing, to packaging and shipping, is managed just by me, Rebeca. Slow fashion means no mass production, meaning I’m not a machine, you’re dealing with a human being just as you, let's be empathetic with each other, me as a seller and you as a customer.
ABOUT THE ITEM
All garments are designed and handmade by me at my home located in Tampere, Finland. I’m still learning and I consider myself as an advanced beginner, I do my best to offer the quality and attention that a handmade garment requires. I aim to evolve my techniques and keep improving on the way of learning.
MATERIALS
My items are made from secondhand/vintage/handmade textiles, it is expected to find some flaws like stains, holes, signs of wear or even minimal damage made by time/storage as fading or discolouration; these details are being mentioned and shown in the item description, however it is possible that I have missed a spot less visible to the eye.
All fabrics are pre-washed before cutting and sewing, I use ecological and hypoallergenic detergent, I don’t use softener or add any scents.
Because of the source of the materials, it is often not possible to have knowledge of the exact material composition, I do my best to define the fabric in the listing of every item.
SIZE / MEASUREMENTS
Size stated in the item description is suggested under a standard female body-type size chart under my patterns I have done, please consider that my designs are made to fit loose, oversized with a relaxed style, one size can fit bigger or smaller depending on your preferences. Please check the measurements and compare with your own wardrobe.
I use the same patterns for each design and sizing depending on the measurements of the available fabric, however there could be differences in the length or arm span, this is because sometimes the amount of fabric is not enough to make the item longer or wider. I try to use as much as I can of the fabric I’m working with, all the remaining scraps are used for future projects.
CARE
I recommend to hand-wash preferably with cold water and air dry for longer wearability. Cold wash helps to reduce possible micro-plastics (in case of synthetic fibres) and particles created when washing with high temperature. Iron or steam as needed.
WHOLESALE, CUSTOM ORDERS, COMMISSION, HOLDS, PRE-ORDERS.
Every item I make is unique and one of a kind, it is very difficult to do the same garment in the same size and/or same fabric as I don’t source my materials from wholesale retailers, I can only get a very limited amount of fabric of the same style as they sometimes are just scraps and remains from old or forgotten projects, this makes difficult if not impossible to work on several pieces that would look the same.
I don’t hold or reserve any item, I try to show part of the process and preview of the garments for new updates on my Instagram page - this doesn't mean it is possible to reserve or pre-order.
PLACING AN ORDER
When you place an order from my site, you’re doing so in acceptance of these terms and conditions, please read carefully before purchasing.
Once you have made your order, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with all the info about your purchase such as price, shipping costs, and the information you have provided for the delivery.
SHIPPING
I use the Posti services, the local Finnish courier, I usually ship within the first five working days after the purchase, you will receive an e-mail confirmation once your order has been sent, please also check your spam mail.
All international orders are sent as Priority Mail - no tracking - if you want to get a tracking number you can upgrade your shipping method in your shopping cart. International shipping from Finland is expensive, I try to keep the costs as low as possible, be aware that all taxes and additional fees like customs, duties and clearance are not included in the price or added in the shopping cart, all extra costs are on responsibility of the buyer.
Delivery times depend on the location and shipping method you have paid for, prices are based on the weight and size of the item.
For Finland delivery may take from 3-7 working days to arrive.
For EU countries delivery can take between 1-6 weeks.
US and Canada the estimated time is from 2-8 weeks.
Please keep this in mind and be patient, these times are only estimated under previous experience, some delays can be expected.
Shipping to Russia, Australia, Asia, Mexico and Central / South American countries, arrival could take several weeks or even months to arrive to the final destination, please consider this before placing an order. I honestly suggest to pay for the upgraded shipping option so you can have a tracking number.
I’m not responsible for lost packages without tracking information, I don’t take responsibility for any damage during transportation, neither for unexpected delays not related with my work. Once the package has reached the post office, it is totally out of my control how it is being managed.
RETURNS AND CANCELLATIONS
All sales are final, by making a purchase you’re stating that you have read, understood and agreed with my shop policies, I don’t accept cancellations, returns or changes.
I try to give as much information as possible so you know exactly what you're getting, so please check carefully all the pictures, be sure to read the description and check measurements, ask questions if you're not sure of any aspect - you can also ask for more pictures or a video if required.
If a package is mistakenly refused or returned, get immediately in touch with me, if you wish the item to be re-shipped I will ask you for shipping fees to be paid before re-sent, packages returned to me with no prior agreement/understanding will receive a refund of 50% of the cost of the item only.
